Find out which railway stations have been named after local families in the region, or rivers and creek.

A 1914 list of all named railway stations in Queensland listed on their appriopriate line and with the meaning of their name. Such a publication may well be the only surviving source for this information.

Arranged in alphabetical order of the station name the information provided is listed in three columns: station, railway and meaning of name. There are others named after eminent personalities, as well as those named after a turtle, and another after a pidgeon. A small book, but it is interesting reading.

This ebook is a the same as the CD version from Archive Digital Books Australasia which is available from Gould Genealogy & other retailers. This CD contains high quality scanned images of the whole original volume, and has been bookmarked for easy navigation. Pages can be searched, browsed, enlarged and printed out if required.
